# WIMM — Where Is My Money

> WIMM is a personal-finance platform built to be operated by AI agents on a user's behalf. An AI assistant can sign a user up, connect securely (OAuth one-click, no key-pasting), import bank/exchange statements, and then add, categorize, budget, and report on their money — all through a hosted MCP server and a versioned REST API.

WIMM is agent-native: the same operations are available to a human in the web app and to an AI agent over the API. Agent-provisioned users are created at the PRO tier. All write operations are scope-gated and pass through a confirmation step.

## What an agent can do

- Onboard: provision a user account and complete sign-in via OAuth.
- Import: ingest bank and exchange (e.g. Bybit) statements; AI parsing extracts accounts, balances, and transactions.
- Accounts & transactions: create accounts, add and list transactions, get balances.
- Organize: create and assign categories; tag and search transactions (including natural-language queries).
- Budget & report: set budgets, check budget status, and break spending down by category or merchant.
- Insight: find recurring subscriptions and spending anomalies.

## Safety

- Scoped access: read vs write are enforced per credential; cross-tenant and admin access are refused.
- Write confirmation: mutating actions require an explicit confirmation step.
- Tested: the agent path has been validated end-to-end by an independent black-box test, including prompt-injection containment.
